Hedge
A boundary term for plant growth of several plants sometimes of the same variety planted in a line. A corridor for insects and wildlife .Many local authorities sponsor surveys on roadside and agricultural hedges to identify the varieties grown in a given area.
In Great Britain hedges allow the wildlife easy access to other wild areas. Hawthorn, Hazel, Holly,Viburnum, Rose, Clematis and Bramble are all a good food source for wild life. Planting a hedge can be worthwhile when we view it more than just a boundary.
Bare root planting is economical when winter planting. Preparation is the key to planting as the ground needs to be dug thoroughly and organic matter added to the open trench as you dig forward.
